If gambling is costing you more than you can afford, you are not alone, and it is not too late to get help. Below: what to do if you have already lost too much, how to set limits, the warning signs, and the free services in India.
If you have already lost more than you can afford
- Right now: stop playing. Trying to win it back usually makes the loss bigger. Log out, delete the app or close the site, and put your card away or give it to someone you trust.
- Do not borrow more, to play or to repay, including from loan apps.
- If a lender or loan app threatens you or messages your contacts, you can report it to the police, on the cybercrime helpline 1930 or on the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal.
- Talk to someone: call 14416, or tell one person you trust what has happened.
- In the next days: write down who you owe and how much, talk honestly with the people you owe, and ask a counsellor to help you make a plan.
Set your limits before you start
Crazy Time is a game of chance. From the return-to-player figures in the game rules, the house keeps, on average, 3.92% to 5.67% of every rupee bet, depending on the spot (every bet's house edge). Over many rounds, players as a whole lose more than they win. Only play with money you can afford to lose; it is not a way to earn money or to win back losses. The right time to decide how much to spend is before the first bet, when a win or a loss has not yet changed how you feel.
- A money limit. Pick an amount you could lose without missing it for rent, food, bills or family needs, and keep it separate from that money. When it is gone, stop for the session or the day. Do not add more money, borrow, or use a credit card to keep playing.
- A time limit. Decide how long you will play and set an alarm. Rounds come quickly, and small stakes add up: ₹50 a round for 50 rounds is ₹2,500 staked.
- A stake limit. Choose one stake size and keep it. Raising stakes after a loss or tapping Double makes the total grow fast, and Autoplay keeps betting without you; how those two buttons work is on our how-to-play page.
- A plan for when you win. If you are ahead, decide in advance to stop and keep the winnings; the next rounds carry the same house edge as the last.
Already playing and betting more than you meant to? Stop now and set your limit before the next spin.
Some tools can keep these limits for you; choose them when you are calm, not in the middle of a session. Many casino accounts let you set deposit or loss limits, reminders of how long you have played, a short break (time-out) or a block for months or longer (self-exclusion). Not every casino offers all of these: look in the account settings or ask the casino's support. On your phone, Digital Wellbeing on Android (for websites, in Chrome) and Screen Time on iPhone can put a daily time limit on an app or a website.
Warning signs that gambling is becoming a problem
If betting has stopped being fun, or you play to win money back, check whether any of these sound like you:
- You spend more money or time than you planned, again and again.
- You bet more to win back what you lost, or to feel the same excitement.
- You have tried to cut down or stop, and could not.
- You play to escape problems, or when you feel stressed, anxious, guilty or low.
- You borrow money, sell things or use money meant for bills or family to keep playing.
- You hide how much you play, or lie about it to people close to you.
- You think about the game when you are working, studying or with family.
- You feel restless or irritable when you try to cut down or stop.
- You believe a system, a predictor or a "due" bonus will turn your luck around.
If you feel hopeless or think about harming yourself, please call 14416 now.
Even one of the signs in the list above is a reason to pause and set firmer limits. Several of them, or any sign that gambling is hurting your money, relationships, work or health, is a reason to talk to someone. You do not need to wait until things are very bad: it is usually easier to change things early, and it is never too late to ask for help.

We are an information site, not a counselling service, and cannot give personal advice; please contact the services above directly. Numbers and hours were checked on 25 October 2026 on the iCall website, IIT Kanpur's Tele-MANAS page and a CBSE circular on Tele-MANAS. The government's own Tele-MANAS site is telemanas.mohfw.gov.in. If a number does not work, try that service's other number above, then tell us so we can update it.
If someone close to you gambles
Signs you may notice: money or valuables going missing, requests to borrow, secrecy about the phone, and sudden changes in mood.
- Talk at a calm moment. Talk about what you have seen, for example missing money, and do not call them names. Say that you want to help. You could say: "I have noticed money going missing and I am worried about you. I want to help, not to shout."
- Think before paying debts. Before you pay any of their debts, talk it through together, and if you can, with a counsellor. Paying debts quietly can make it easier to keep gambling. If you help, pay a bill directly rather than lending cash.
- Protect shared money. Separate bank accounts are reasonable, and never share OTPs, PINs or cards.
- Get support for yourself. Tele-MANAS is open to anyone, so you can call 14416 yourself, any time, if someone else's gambling is affecting you. Gambling Therapy also has support for family and friends.
If they talk about harming themselves, call 14416 with them, or 112 if they are in immediate danger. Looking after yourself matters too; this is hard, and it is not your fault.
Beliefs that keep people betting
Some ideas make it harder to stop. If spins do not affect each other, a long run without a bonus does not make one closer (why a gap does not make a bonus due). Doubling after a loss can turn one bad run into a large loss (the Martingale example in rupees). Big wins in videos are rare and do not change your chances on the next spin. No predictor app or paid Telegram signal can know the next result from past spins; the warning signs of those scams are listed on our strategy page.
About this site
CrazyTime.net.in is an independent information site about the game, not connected to Evolution or to any casino. We do not take bets, hold money or send readers to casinos to play, and nothing here is advice to gamble. Crazy Time is for adults only: if you are under 18, do not play. The house edge figures above are calculated from the return-to-player percentages in the English Crazy Time rules published by Loto-Québec, read on 25 October 2026; where our rules and figures come from is on our methodology page.
