Crazy Time Rules: One Round from Your Bet to the Payout

Crazy Time rules step by step: 15 seconds to bet, the 54-segment wheel, what each bet pays in ₹, the Top Slot, and a free demo wheel on play credits.

Crazy Time round and betting flow
How a round works

Crazy Time is a live game show from Evolution built around a money wheel with 54 segments. You bet on one or more of eight spots: the numbers 1, 2, 5 and 10 and the four bonus games. When betting closes, the presenter spins the wheel, and a small slot machine above it, the Top Slot, may boost one spot for that round. Where the wheel stops decides who wins.

Want to see a round for yourself? Spin the free practice wheel: free play on our own simulator, no sign-up, no download, no real money. Below are the steps of one round, what each bet pays, how the Top Slot works, the buttons on the betting screen and what happens if your connection drops.

One round of Crazy Time, step by step

  1. Where the game runs. To play Crazy Time online, you open it in the live casino section of a casino's website or app, on a computer or a phone. Evolution does not publish a standalone Crazy Time app (playing on a phone). This site does not list casinos.
  2. Pick a chip and place bets. Choose a chip value, then tap the spots you want. Each tap adds one chip, up to the limit for that bet, and you can bet on several spots in the same round. You can only pick chips your balance can pay for. To see the smallest bet in rupees at your table, open Bet Limits.
  3. Betting closes. Evolution says the betting window lasts 15 seconds. When it ends, the presenter spins the large vertical wheel.
  4. The Top Slot spins at the same moment, on a screen above the wheel, and may boost one spot (how a boost works).
  5. The wheel stops. The pointer at the top of the wheel, called the flapper, shows the winning segment. If it is a spot you bet on, you win; bets on the other spots are not paid.
  6. You are paid, or a bonus starts. A winning number pays at its odds, and you also get back the money you bet on it. A bonus segment starts that bonus game: everyone can watch, but only players who bet on that bonus take part and can win.

The rules give no length for a full round; a bonus game adds time to it.

The wheel: 54 segments and what each bet pays

The 54-segment wheel

The main wheel is a large vertical wheel with 54 segments, spun by the presenter, with the flapper at the top and the Top Slot screen above it. The rules say how many segments each spot has, not the order they sit in. The main wheel is not the same as the Crazy Time bonus wheel, a separate 64-segment wheel with three flappers. You can watch the wheel live without betting on our home page.

A bonus bet pays the multiplier you end up with in that bonus game, so it has no fixed odds; how high each bonus can go is compared on the bonus rounds page. There is also a limit on how much you can win in one round: it is in the game's Bet Limits, and your casino may have its own limits too (what "max win" means). The chance and return of each spot are listed bet by bet on the RTP page.

How the Top Slot boosts a bet

Crazy Time Top Slot multiplier example
Top Slot

The Top Slot has two reels, which line up bet spots (numbers or bonuses) with multipliers. It runs every round, but it only counts when a spot and a multiplier stop side by side on the middle row. If they do not line up, the round goes on without a boost. A boost lasts for that round only, and it pays only if the wheel then stops on the boosted spot. Evolution says the Top Slot can go up to 50x, and the rules give no maximum. Neither the rules nor Evolution's page says how often the reels line up.

For a number, the rules say its payout "will be multiplied by the multiplier from the Top Slot", and your stake comes back on top. For example, you have ₹100 on 2, and the Top Slot lines up 2 with 3x. The 2 to 1 payout becomes 6 to 1: if the wheel stops on 2, you win ₹600 plus your ₹100 back, ₹700 in all instead of ₹300. If the wheel stops on 5 instead, your bet on 2 loses, even with the boost. For a bonus, the rules say "the multiplier won in the particular Bonus game will be multiplied" by the Top Slot multiplier.

On our calculation, base payouts alone would return only about 72–81% on the numbers, against the rules' 95.7–96.1%; how much of the RTP the Top Slot adds is worked out on the RTP page. Which spots the Top Slot has boosted and which of those boosts paid are counted on the live score page.

Pick chips, use Bet on Four, Undo and Double, and watch where the wheel stops. It is our own simulator, not Evolution's game: you do not sign up or download anything, it runs in your phone's browser, and the credits are not real money. The wheel has the real segment counts, so 1 comes up about 4 spins in 10 and the Crazy Time bonus about once in 54.

Two things are simpler here, because neither the rules nor Evolution's page says how often the Top Slot lines up, and the rules do not list every value inside each bonus game. First, there is no Top Slot, so a number win is never boosted and pays the normal amount from the table. And there are no bonus games: if a bonus lands, you get its long-run average payout instead, for example 25.7x your bet for Cash Hunt, stake included. Those averages already include what Top Slot boosts add to bonuses, while number wins here do not. So on this wheel, number bets give back only about 72–81% of what you bet over many spins, and bonuses about 94–96%. That makes numbers look worse than bonuses, which they are not: in the rules, each bet's theoretical RTP is between 94.33% and 96.08%.

Our wheel and the live wheel are separate: nothing you see here carries over to the live table. Practice teaches the buttons and the pace of a round, not a way to win more on the live table. If each live spin does not depend on the one before, no run of spins can tell you what comes next (why a run of spins says nothing about the next one). Evolution's own games website describes itself as a "freeplay demo site", with demo mode available "subject to jurisdiction", so it may not open in every country; we could not check whether it opens from India.

The buttons on the betting screen

The rules name these controls. Your casino's screen may look different, and details can differ between versions of the rules.

Button — What it does
ButtonWhat it does
Chip displaySets the value of each chip; you can only select chips your balance can cover
Bet on FourPuts one chip on all four numbers, or on all four bonus games, in one tap
UndoRemoves your last bet; hold it to clear all bets
Double (2x)Doubles all your bets each time you tap, up to the limit, if your balance covers it
RepeatPlaces last round's bets again, only before you place your first chip of the round
AutoplayRepeats your bets for the number of rounds you choose; stops when the rounds are done or when you stop it; in the English rules, adding a bet or pressing Double also stops it
Bet LimitsShows the table's minimum and maximum bets, which can change
StatisticsShows the results of the latest rounds; every spin since midnight IST is on today's results
HistoryLists the rounds you played and their results
Game numberIdentifies each round; the rules say to use it for reference if you contact customer service

Be careful with two buttons. Double doubles all your bets each time you tap it: tap twice and ₹100 becomes ₹400. Autoplay keeps betting without you: ₹200 a round for 10 rounds sets an Autoplay limit of ₹2,000 (the rules use €200 and €2,000). No betting pattern changes the house edge (betting systems worked through in rupees). Decide how much you can afford to lose before you start, and stop when it is gone; ways to cap your spending and time are on our responsible gambling page.

If your connection drops or the game has an error

Crazy Time live connection screen
Connection and game errors

If your connection drops, the rules say any bets you placed stay valid and are settled without you; when you reconnect, the History window shows the outcome. A bonus choice you did not make in time, or could not make because the game was interrupted, is made for you: the English rules say a flapper in the Crazy Time bonus, or a target in Cash Hunt, is then picked at random. If you open the same table on a second device or browser, the rules say you leave it on the first.

If something goes wrong in the studio or the system, the round is paused and players are told through chat or a pop-up. If it cannot be fixed straight away, the round is cancelled and the bets placed in it are refunded, so you get them back. The rules add that a malfunction voids the round and its payouts: it does not count, even if the screen showed a win.

Where these rules come from. Crazy Time A, which CasinoScores describes as using the same rules, has its results on the Crazy Time A page. The rules on this page are from the English Crazy Time rules published by Loto-Québec. Their payouts and segment counts match the Italian rules from SNAI. The 15-second betting time, the 50x Top Slot maximum and the freeplay demo notice are from Evolution's how-to-play page. All were read on 25 October 2026.
